How to convert an account to an opportunity

Hi,
In normal CRM process we can convert lead to Acoount,Contact and opportunity.
In our porocess first we are converting lead to account only.After that i have to check some conditions
and then i have to convert the account to an opportunity.Is there any way to convert
an account to an opportunity?Please advice me how to do ?Thanks,

Emil reply is correct. Please remember following points:-
1. Lead can be converted to Contact or/and Account (Both are potential customer)
2. An Opportunity will alway be associated with a potential customer.
3. A difference between Lead and Opportunity is Lead is alway refered to Human being where opportunity has a monetary valuei.e potential sale.
CRM will fulfill your requirement if you hide contact checkbox while converting a lead into Account and Opportunity.

Since the customer property of the opportunity is required to create the opportunity you will always need an account or contact to create the opp.
If you are looking for a convenient way to automatically create an opportunity from an account and call this to "convert account to opportunity" you could create an ISV-button (2011: Ribbon command) that creates an opportunity related to the account or just opens the create form for an opp with the account as parent context.
But you'll still need the account as customer reference on the opportunity.
