How to promote emails from public Exchange folder to MS Dynamics CRM 4.0? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a situation where I need to promote email form a public folder on Exchange server accessed by multiple users. But when I try to Track the email or Set Regarding to a CRM entity, I get this error message:

Only items in the default Microsoft Outlook store can be promoted to Microsoft Dynamics CRM.

The users are in a different organization units and should have sufficient paremissions in CRM. Is there a way how to do that? (can be a workaroud) I would appreciate if you have any experience and could help me with that.

    Thanks.

  • I thought this got fixed in a rollup so if you're not on the latest rollup, it may be worth a go.

  • Hi V-Tec, you can only track e-mail from your own mailbox. So you'll need to move the email messages to your own mailbox and then try tracking them.
