telling that there are more MCSDs (1063) than MCADs (853)?!

How can it be if MCAD is part of any MCSD (only with a fewer exams passed)?

  • Hi Guennadiy.

To earn your MCAD credential, you must pass three exams (in any order):

    • One exam on Web applications development or Windows applications development

    • One exam on Web services and server components

    • One elective exam

    and

To earn the MCSD credential, you must pass five exams (in any order):

    • One exam on Web applications development

    • One exam on Windows applications development

    • One exam on Web services and server components

    • One exam on solution architecture

    • One elective exam

So if your are MCAD, and you wants to become MCSD then you have to pass only these exams:

    • One exam on solution architecture
    • One elective exam

I hope this info will be helpful to you.
I'm looking forward to your reply.

I am MCSD (and naturally MCAD, thereafter or before)  and the question was not about "how to?" but "why?"
