Elevate America - Repeat Exams Allowed Under Voucher Terms? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm a Californian preparing to take the Exam 77-605 MCAS Using Microsoft Office: Access 2007 and have a couple of questions.

    1. If I fail the exam the first time, under the terms of the voucher, am I allowed a second attempt? If so, do I need to complete the second attempt BEFORE the June 8, 2010 registration date after which the voucher expires. I do know that I can "access" the course material for 12 months after registering, but am not sure terms of taking the exam.

    2. I called the Elevate America 800 number and was told the exam would be administered by "Prometric" - however, I called the company, and they do not give the Access exam I need to take... So, how do I take the exam? It's confusing!

Thank you in advance for your help.

  • I don't know the terms of the voucher that you have received, but I would guess that it does not allow for a re-take (but I could be wrong...).  You could see if the 'Second Shot' offer is valid with your voucher - see the information on the link below.

Based on other vouchers that I have seen/used I would expect that the exam must be taken prior to the expiration date (either a first, or if allowed, a retake) which you have indicated is June 8, 2010.

Look at the following site for more information about the exam you are planning on taking (77-605)

Finally many of the Microsoft Certification exams are only administered by Prometric, but the Office related exams are actually administered by a company named Certiport - here is there web site, hopefully you can find the information you need there!

    Good luck with your exam!
