Visual Studio - Installer Project Question

I have a question related to the Visual Studio Installer (not the installation of VS); specifically VS.NET 2005.

Basically, I am wondering if there is a way to truly exclude things from the project using predefined flags (not just the Conditional fields), such as C style #define flags, or even something more complicated without modifying the project every time to do it.

I realize this question may not be answered here, but I was hoping someone could direct me to the forum where hopefully someone could answer it.

Ask this in the forum for the language you want to use (if you wanna use C#, ask in the C# forum, if C++ is your choice ask in the C++ forum, etc)
