    nch toy keep locking user accounts everytime i run it. i am running windows vista on both computers and everytime i try to synch netween those two folders over the network, it says that the other computer does not exist. when i check i find out that the computer is locked. i unlock it and try the synch toy one more time and i still get the same thing.

    any idea whay i am doing wrong?

    'SyncToy is not sophisticated enough a tool to lock any computer. I think your problems fall under -
    1) Your computers are not networked correctly. Can you do a simple copy of a file from one computer to the other using just Windows Explorer?
    2) Your computers are set up to automatically lock is not used for a period of time - probably set to a really low time. This however does not matter to SyncToy. If you set the networking up correctly with the right permissions it will not matter if a computer locks down.

    Hello Deepa

    thanks for responding, i am able to copy files from one computer to another and i even tried doing the sync one file pair at a time and it works fine but when i hit run all, things start getting messay .
