Microsoft Dynamics CRM Integration With Exchange 2016 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I am trying to integrate CRM 2016 Email Router with Exchange 2016, but I can't send emails. It is already integrated with Exchange 2013 and it can send and receive emails. I recently upgraded to Exchange 2016 and created exactly the same receive connectors that were configured on Exchange 2013 to relay emails from CRM. I have an impersonation rule that is assigned to enterprise administrator for this purpose. Could you please help me with integrating Dynamics CRM with Exchange 2016? Thanks a lot.

  • According to this link, https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh699689.aspx#Exch_svr, Exchange 2016 is not on the list of supported systems.

however, for sending emails I would have thought treating Exchange 2016 as a SMTP server should work but I have not tried this.

In any case, I recommend that you consider switching to Server Side Synchronization because the Email Router is deprecated - in a future version it will be removed.
