I am glad you found a good answer, what you described reminded me of a standard ASP.NET exception message.  :)

  • Thanks Jamie,

I have opened a thread in CRM development forum. This is regarding Mail-merge. Can you share your thoughts on it.

Is it possible to upload pdf template instead of word/xml template for mail merge template in CRM 2011?

What i am trying to achieve to enable user to upload either word xml or PDF template in CRM (Both capabilities).

But out of box CRM doesn't except PDF file for upload. Can you suggest me whether it is possible at all or not to uplaod PDF file in Template entity.

Also, if i am able to upload another issue i will face is field mapping.

Also, Out box CRM provides only one entity, those fields can be used as a placeholder, but what i want to achieve is, if i associate Accounts entity with a template i would be able to add some fields into that Template from other custom entity.

Pls pls reply if you have any idea how to achieve that. Even if it can be done thru 3rd party tool i am OK. It is very crucial requirement.

    Thanks in advance.
