  • Dear customer,

Could you please elaborate more on the following details?

    1. Is your laptop in corpnet or at home?

    2. Could you please retry Fix It Center after reinstalling MSXML 6.0?

3.Can you help to check the IE: Tools->Internet options->Connections->LAN Settings, what's the information on that panel?

  • Alex ,

     Thanks for the response .

My Laptop is at home ( wireless cnx. behind a router DSL box ) , IE: Tools .........>Lan settings is set to "Automatically  detects settings"

At this time I've not reinstall MSXML 6.0 BUT it seems (?) I resolved my trouble with the following actions :

1/ I discovered that msinfo32.exe was no longer working ( " Cant collect informations " message ). The DCOM server process Launcher was not running ( STOP) and in NORMAL startup state. I Started it and changed the startup type to AUTOMATIC . The service run but  hung in STARTING state , therefore Msinfo32.exe working again. After rebooting the laptop the DCOM service startrd correctly..

2/I have checked and repaired the WMI package ...

Now only one trouble is still alive : I cannot install the Bing Bar 7.0 (KB2626808) either : under Windows update (Error Code0x643 ) or download BingBarSetup.exe from MSN site ... : Nothing happen when I run the .exe file and a file ( MSIxxx.log) under my temp folder says : Error 1606. Could not access network location .  !!!!

Let me know your mind about that .  Should I reinstall MSXML 6.0  ?

    Regards
