  • Question

Two different windows have asked for my Product Key number - (1) in an e-mail power point program and (2) whenevew I go into my TRIAL version OF Microsoft Office..  On entering the number found on the back of my Laptop it gives me an "invalid Number" message.  It also states that I can only open this  ... amount of more times before my windows will not work anymore.    I bourght my computer from  Best Buy not on the street corner, so why does it not have the right numbers.

  • Apparently, the computer manufacturer installed a trial version of Microsoft Office on your new computer.  You'll need to purchase a genuine perpetual license for Microsoft Office in order to continue the use of the program.

The product key affixed to your computer is only for Microsoft Windows, the operating system, and not Microsoft Office.
