Here is a new one.
Installing Tanjays (LG Nortel ip8540's) and they will not upgrade.
Running firmware 1.0.0.522.71
They would boot, sit for a bit at the authenticated user phase, and then reboot.
IIS Logs look like:
GET /DeviceUpdateFiles_Int/OCInterim/ENU/CPE.nbt - 80 - 10.9.2.174 Microsoft+UCPhone+Device 200 0 995 55906
POST /RequestHandler/ucdevice.upx - 443 - 10.9.2.174 Microsoft+UCPhone+Device 200 0 0 156

Took traces and saw that the phone was updating - then would just disappear.
*** The phones were rebooting before they had a chance to download the files! ****
So I let one boot, hit "cancel" real fast before it tried to log in and 5 minutes later (while sitting doing nothing) - it would reboot and log in (with the interim build) and then to the final.

Of course, you have to make sure you uncheck "PBX integration" for the user account logging in, or the Tanjays won't let you log in. ) 3.5.6907.9 firmware has this feature.
In this case, with CS1000 and dual-forking - the Nortel phone won't ring without PBX integration turned on.
Cheers.
