Assign customers to partners RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi

We need to be able to add end customers to our CRM and then assign the end customers to our partners. Sort of like a two tiered system.  I was wondering if this is possible?

We have installed the PRM component, but still cand work this out. One partner may have up to 50 end customers.

    Thanks

  • Hi,

    Sorry for the late reply.

I would recommend adding a dropdown/Picklist on the contact form. The picklist would identify if the contact is an employee of the partner company (Partner contact) or if the contact is the end customer associated with the partner.

You would associate the end customers with the partner just as you associate contacts with account. Please see illustration below.

                              Partners (Account Entity)
                                               |
                         --------------------------------------------------
                        |                             |                               |
End Customer             Partner Contact           End Customer        (Contact Entity)

Please post back if you have questions.

    Hassan.

  • Hi,

    I have two questions.

Can the customers of your partners be associated with multiple partners? OR Are the partner customers unique to a single partner?

What is the PRM component? Is it a third party component?

    thanks,
    Hasssan.

  • HI
    Thanks for your reply

the PRM is an accelerator for CRM. Its the Partner Releationship Manager.

No one customer can noly be associated to a single partner. A partner will have many customers.

    Thanks
