Question

I just bought a brand new HP laptop last month and can't for the life of me get my product key to accept. I've entered it correctly. I really need to use the program asap for work. Here is the report I ran. Thank you in advance for any help.

Please review: Windows 7 Operating System Activation and Unable to Activate Microsoft® Office Trial 2007
The product key affixed to your new HP computer is for Windows 7, the operating system. Apparently, you have a trial version of Microsoft Office installed. In order to activate your installed copy of Microsoft Office, you'll need to purchase a Microsoft Office product key. For assistance, please see: How to purchase a product key for Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007

That appears at first glance to be a valid activated system - what are you seeing that makes you think it isn't?

As as the OP said that he needed it "program asap for work" he would not be able to "legally" purchase the activation and keep the version currently installed. The OP would need to purchase a retail version that does not have the non-commercial use restriction, uninstall the trial and activation assistant and then install the purchased version.Thursday, June 10, 2010 11:20 AM
