In the past (recently but before the post Mike linked was written) when I found bunches of spam, by the time I had marked about 4 of the threads a spam, I got errors because the threads were being deleted. Several times it was as if some actual person was
immediately alerted by the first thread I marked, saw all of the spam, and started work. I have to admit this new system seems to work.
I still try to mark at least several of the posts.
Ok, they still have kinks in the system. When I checked the C++ forum the spam threads still appear. However when I view the user profile, it has been emptied. I believe the user has been banned and the threads deleted (sort of), but they still show
up in the forum. I reported this before and it was acknowledged as a bug they are investigating.
