Reformatting Windows 7 Home Premium and installing XP RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I have Windows 7 home premium and to be honest I think it very slow and it crashes too much. I would like to reformat my hard drive and install XP professional, but whenever I try to reformat using the XP CD, I recieve and error that says "Windows has shut down to prevent damage to hard drive. Blah, blah, run chkdsk/f " There is nothing wrong with my PC. Is it possible to reformat windows 7 and install XP professional using the XP CD?

    Thanks in advance
