One-way audio RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

We have set up OCS Public Beta in our network and things mostly work now. We also have installed a SIP Gateway (AudioCodes Mediant 1000) with two trunk lines, it sits between the PBX and the outgoing ISDN-30 line. The gateway is linked to the mediation server using a cross-cable and private ip addresses. We configured OCS Voice with Phone Usage, Location Profile etc.

With Communicator we can call outbound phone numbers (PBX extensions and PSTN); everything works perfectly. For incoming calls however, if we route a number from the gateway to the mediation server and assign the number to an OCS user, the user can pickup the call and hear the calling phone, but audio does not make it back to the caller. Audio is one-way.

    Any ideas what is wrong?

  • Marteen,

Let's set up OCSLogger.exe on the internal OC 2007 client, OCS Access server and the OCS Mediation sever. Once logging is running on all three then make an inbound call to your OC 2007 client. Pick up the call and reply.

Logging on the OC 2007 client

HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Tracing\UCCP\Communicator\EnableFileTracing=1 and HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Tracing\UCclient\Communicator\EnableFileTracing=1 - once this registry setting is made you can sign out of OC 2007 and log out then log in on the Windows client. The log files that you will create will be in the %userprofile%\tracing folder

Logging for the OCS 2007 servers

c:\program files\conmmon files\Office Communication Server 2007\tracing\ocslogger.exe - Start OCSLogger.exe and choose the logging options SipStack, RTCP, RTP, InboundRouting and outboundRouting. Choose start logging. When the capture is comnplete from the OCSLogger menu choose stop Logging. The etl files that you will have to send to me will be in the c:\windows \tracing folder

Hopefully the logging will provide us with an indication where the failure is taking place

I will need your email address do I can email you a message that you can reply to. This will allow o=us to pass the files back anf forth.

    Thanks,
