How you doing? I can not get my status bar to go green. Says I am at risk due to macafee. I got a dell and it came already programed with macafee. I no longer pay macafee for there services, I disabled all there options, firewall, spam, etc. I still get the small macafee emblem at the bottom right of my screen, even though it is not activated. one care says that it is interfereing with there programs. I tried everything I know to do. Any help would grateful. Thanks.Saturday, January 26, 2008 10:45 PM

Major Geeks is one of several hosting sites out there. They claim to have safe files, but I would scan them first. I link to that download for the McAfee removal tool as it is easier to find than the one on McAfee's support site.

Thanks, I guess I will have to learn how to scan files from hosting sites! Major Geeks worked with no problems. Thanks again. Jeff Todd
