SharedView changes color scheme RRS feed

  • Question

  • When a SharedView session is started (ie: app is shared) on a Vista Ultimate machine, a warning icon appears in teh nofier area. The warning is that the color scheme is being changed to Windows Vista Basic. When sharing is ended, desktop reverts to picture, Aero effects work again, and ultimate features appear to happen.

  • Hello call_kathy,

This is something that occurs when using SharedView on Vista.  Vista switches to the Vista Basic scheme during application sharing and then switches back when you are finished.  Also, if you were to share an application using Windows Meeting Space, Vista would also switch to the Basic scheme and then switch back after sharing was stopped.  Does this answer your question?  Thanks.

  • Hello VasiliyR,

This is currently the behavior that Windows Vista has.  They consider customer feedback for changes to future releases.  Thank you for using SharedView.  These links could be helpful to you - http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/windowsvista, http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/Windows/en-US/community/default.mspx .  Thanks.
