Request: Rename "node.exe" RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • Hi,

The HPC client utilities contains an executable called "node.exe" in C:\Program Files\Microsoft HPC Pack 2016\Bin which is automatically added to my system variables. If a user has Node.js installed (developers often will), this will override the node command and cause problems when they are using the framework.

In a future release could "node.exe" be renamed to something more unique?

  • Thanks for your advice.

Currently You can move the node.js directory before "C:\Program Files\Microsoft HPC Pack 2016\Bin" in the Path variable, so that node.js will be used if you just type "node"
