Purchased Genuine Advantage Kit Online... RRS feed

    I purchased a genuine product key online yesterday for £55.16 + tax (UK), having installed a version of XP Home on a new computer without realising I was contravening the software license. I paid using a credit card and got a confirmed order number and new product key on the 'you've paid' screen after checkout, with the following message:

     

    "Thank you for buying the Windows Genuine Advantage kit. Print this order
    conformation and keep it for your records. As soon as your payment is processed,
    you will receive an email that includes a new product key and a link to an
    online conversion tool. The conversion tool will scan your system and try to
    convert your counterfeit copy of Windows to a genuine copy. The e-mail will be
    sent from
    direct-mar@msdirectservices.com. Modify junk mail or other e-mail
    filters as needed to ensure receipt of your new product key. You will also
    receive a CD that you can use to reinstall Windows"

     

    However, I never received a confirmation email or link to the online conversion tool. This was over 33 hours ago - when can I expect this to be sent? As instructed I have switched off all mail spam filters. The new product key doesn't work when I try to validate my copy of windows.

     

    Please advise.
