I have geniune XP serial but it will not validate this version of windows xp after a lost restore disc!!

HI peeps,

I have a geniune XP Pro serial and have paid for the use of the licence, however I lost the restore disc and now that serial I have will not validate this version of XP I have downloaded!!

is there anything i can do without having to pay for another restore disc?

surely if I have paid for the license of the this OS I should be able to validate ok?
