Should I be using this for the refresh? Just about to do a fresh install. I'm using 4 WD10EARS.

You shouldn't use an Advanced Format drive as your system drive in Vail, but there's no need to align other server storage drives.
I'm not on the WHS team, I just post a lot. :)
