New My Threads page problem RRS feed

  • Question

  • Since the fix last Sunday, I'm now seeing updates to the My Threads page getting filtered by the Unread filter even though I never read the additional post(s).  Turning the filter off shows the threads with a correct time stamp.

Reading My Threads without the Unread filter is not feasible.

Folks, this is not getting better.

  • Hans, can you include a few thread examples of this happening and some date times for the threads that are being filtered incorrectly? We can try to take a look at the data and see what's going on. Do these threads with new replies never show up or is there some latency (and if so, how much) for them to show up?

  • Similar issue, My threads is wrong - http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/threads/?user=DarrenSQLIS

Even when sorting by last post which appears to be the default, the top post currently is "Execute sql server agent job task" (http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sqlintegrationservices/thread/4171803d-831c-40db-9724-58363d0f6766) with a last reply date of 03 March 2009 09:28:24.

However I've made several posts this morning already -

  • Right now, My Threads is malfunctioning with pre-Sunday behavior as well.  I've already given numerous examples in the past, I'll jump through that hoop one more time.

This thread is not getting filtered by the Unread filter, even though I've read it numerous times:
    http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/vclanguage/thread/b1fd3fe1-c5d9-4d9c-b3a6-d5e4c9658e1b

I only got one update in the past 3 1/2 hours, even though I got several alerts.  Notable is this very thread, DarrenSQLIS's post shows up in My Threads but it is getting filtered, even though I only looked at the alert, never the thread itself.  The reason I started this particular bug report.  Notable is that it shows up when I turn off the Unread filter, sorted between a list of threads that had responses > 8 hours old.  Of course, now I read it.

Here's another example, sorted between threads >  24 hours old, never saw it with Unread turned on:
    http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/winforms/thread/7697fca4-678a-40f1-9547-19bf55301d11

I got alerts for these threads > 1 hour ago but no update in My Threads:
    http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/vcgeneral/thread/6e67a3bd-cf56-42c7-b0da-785883830192/
    http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/winforms/thread/cff65eb5-2a57-4d89-9d4d-0caf80419bb9/

None of the threads I posted to in the past couple of hours show up in My Threads with the Unread filter turned off.  Hard to find them back, but here are a few examples:
    http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/clr/thread/180ab30d-baa5-4717-995e-3d552f0b34d3
    http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/clr/thread/9e91586a-591d-4faf-b17c-796a8eb55e7f
    http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/winforms/thread/652d85bb-8de9-4766-8101-156f14eaa89b

I trust these examples, as well as the numerous examples I gave in the past, are sufficient.
