Results, unfortunately, have been mixed. If the theft was reported to law enforcement and there is an active case, they can contact Microsoft (I don't know the phone number they use, but they should) and request that the activity for the subscription be provided to them. They will need to know the LiveID for your subscription and the activity dates that you see on a hub machine in your OneCare Circle, if available, showing that the PC has been active after the theft. Note that the information may not be available on the server, hence my statement that results have been mixed. I am only aware of one case reported here in the forums of being successful in obtaining the data and I don't know if it was at all useful in recovering the laptop.
