CAN NOT CREATE A REPORT USING REPORT WIZARD OF CRM 4.0 RRS feed

  • Hello!

    I tried to create a report using the Report Wizard of CRM, but when the wizard finishes appears the following error:

    The report can not be created, consult to the Community.

    Looking at the Event Viewer, it shows:

    Web service request CreateReport to Report Server http://ps2007/reportserver/ReportService2005.asmx failed with SoapException. Error: The permissions granted to user 'NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE' are insufficient for performing this operation.

    I have added the NETWORK SERVICE account to:

    - IIS/Web Site/Permissions to NETWORK SERVICE.

    - DataBase Report and ReportServerTemp. dbowner permission.

    - Folder ProgramFiles/MSCRM.

    - In the Report Manager I added all the roles to BUILTIN/ADMINISTRATORS.

    My environment is:

    - A server with Win2k3, SQL SERVER 2005, Reporting Services 2005 and CRM 4.0.

  • This problem was solved in the following way:

    1. Look at the IIS/CRMAppPool, right click Properties/Identity. Notice the user or account set.

    2. Go to the Report Manager. HTTP://SERVERNAME/REPORTS and go to COMPANY_MSCRM, above select Properties and then Security.

    3. If you don´t see the user of the first step, create it click on New Assignment Role and apply "Publish role". 

    If the user exists, Edit the roles of the user -->setting "Publish role" .

    4. Create a report in CRM using the Report Wizard.. and it´s ready! :)
