office 2007 excel crash

  HI, I'm using Office 2007. In excel when I try to change font color using the drop down on the ribbon, the application crashes. I can change to the color already showing on the ribbon and I can change using the format function, but when I try to change the color on the ribbon drop down it crashes before I can even apply the change.

  I've attempted using the repair function from the installation cd to no avail.

  Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.
