Upgrading from CRM 3 to CRM 4 using the updated .msp from internet still failing install RRS feed

    Hi

We have downloaded the updated CRM 4 installation file from the internet (Microsoft) then added the update string in the config.xml file and pointed it to a location of the file.

When we start the installation... it says that a update has been found... and then install continues.

Then during the installation... the CRM install failes with the same error as when we did not use the .msp file.

The error is the one where a DSN domain controller can not be found and .....

The implementation on the non-production server had the same issue,,, but that server had internet access to connect to and download the files during installation.,

The production server does not internet access as it is a security zone server and connect be granted access.... so we have to use the config file method.

Has anyone actually tested using the .msp file manually ?

Have multiple DC servers.... good couple 100 in Company.... so any point of time a DC can be down...

    Please could anyone urgently assist

    thx

    Otto
