Windows 7 Validation Issue RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am getting the Windows Activation Technologies pop-up repeatedly.  The first few times this appeared I allowed the online tool to try to validate and each time a screen came up prompting me to purchase another copy of Windows.  Obviously I did not do that because my copy IS genuine.  It's a Win. 7 Home Premium that came installed on my Toshiba Satellite back in '09.  I've never had a problem with this validation issue before.  Never even knew there was a validation check.

At any rate, it's genuine software.  I have the Product Key and I have verified this on the phone with a MS Representative.  She had me re-enter the Product Key and she said I shouldn't see that WAT message again.  And for a day or two all seemed fine.  Then I started receiving the WAT message again.

I don't know if this is related or not, but I have also discovered that my "Check for Updates" feature is not working.  It keeps telling me to restart the computer.  I have, nothing changes.

So, here's my info.  Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.

    River Dean

  • The common cause for these mismatches is a faulty Intel Rapid Storage Tech driver

Download and install the latest version from....

     http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&ProdId=2101&DwnldID=21730

    you want this one:  iata_enu.exe

reboot then run another MGADiag report and post the results.
