Confused about the storage pool and the old Drive Extender RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am about to build a WHS for a small business.  If I install 2 1TB drives, will WHS see and use both drives to store data or will it only use disk 0?  I'm getting the impression that WHS doesn't support RAID so that's out of the loop, but a multidisk scenario is also a concern to me.  Also, if I need to extend the storage pool later by adding extra disks, will WHS see those disks automatically or will I need to do a fresh install of the entire system?  Maybe these questions wouldn't have been necessary when Drive Extender existed, as I said, I'm confused.

FWIW, Drive Extender is no longer present in WHS 2011 (which is due to be
    released very soon).

This forum is for WHS 2011, not the original release of WHS.
