Hi,
Sorry, got to start with the basics...
What's your setup?
Any helpful information in System, Application or OCS event logs?
Has it ever worked? If so, has anything changed? If not (most likely I guess as this is a deployment log) then certificate issues or duplicate SPN issues comes to mind, but not guaranteed... make sure the FQDN is in the SN of the cert (internal CA?) and use the SPN tool from the reskit to rule these out.
HTH,
Cheers.

I had the problem that the service
Service Name: RtcQmsAgent
Descriptive Name: Office Communications Server Monitoring Agent
did not start. What I can say is that after I added the feature Message queuing and the message queuing server the service came up and is running now.
let's continue with the configuration.

Hi,
when you are running the setup, are you specifing new accounts or using existing. If you are creating new accounts maybe there is a delay in the account creation for some reason. Please verify the accounts you are using to start the services under are functioning and the passwords are correct. Also check your system log after trying to start the services to see if there are any errors there (as stated above).
Thanks!

Sorry for the lack of response, however I have found this software/server to be extereemly difficult to setup and get running and therefore have not been working with it for a while. It would seem to be a simple thing to setup like Hotmail or MSN to be able to register people online within an office I cannot see why this OCS is so difficult. I would add that my IT suppport company also do not have any experience with this 2007 version of the server and are also unable to assist in setting it up.
THe server seems to work but getting users into the system and logging in is impossible, My client tells me the server is not running, It is I can see it running!!
I think I will have to look for an alternate, thanks for the assistanceThursday, June 25, 2009 12:07 PM -
Take a look at this article, your service-start failures may be related to a resent OCS patch:
