  • Unfortunately, you have a Dell computer manufactured well before Windows 7 was released and you installed a Dell OEM Windows 7 Professional Reinstallation copy that does not belong to that Dell computer.  In order to fix the problem, you'll need to purchase a conventional Windows 7 Professional – Full Version and perform a "clean install".

  • Or you can contact Dell to obtain the proper Dell OEM Windows Reinstallation disk for that model of PC.  That will install the version of Windows (probably Vista) that originally came with that PC.
