  • Here's an information booklet to read:

    http://products.secureserver.net/products/domain_transfers/transferinsider.pdf

to start the process, go to their website:

    http://www.godaddy.com/domains/domain-transfer.aspx?ci=24123

Again, please do thorough research before trying this. I've had no experience, good or bad, with GoDaddy, or the transfer process.

  • You'll have to transfer your domain name from your current host to either eNomCentral or GoDaddy before you try configuring it into WHS. WHS simply doesn't recognize any other providers. Read through some of the threads relating to GoDaddy and domain configuration first, though, because people have had difficulty doing this in the past.

  • first thanks,

can you please tell me very shortly which steps I have to take to transfer my domain name to GoDaddy.

because I read many threads but no one give a clear explanation.

  • thanks,

I think you don't have to cofigure any domain name in home server.  just go to your provider site and  make 2 A records with your static ip adres ( that you leased from your provider) one with dominname.com and the other  with www.domainname .com and also you can make CName record for example john.domainname.com . and if the ports 80 and 443 is open on your static ip adres you can log on to your home server extern with your CName domain name. I tried it and it works.   you can also make only 2 A records without CName record and it works too.

    thanks
