Can't access free trial of windows azure within 3 days and needs verification RRS feed

  • Question

  • I signed up for a FREE trial of windows azure for 30 days.

After the third day, I cannot login and it asks me for verification. whatever I try I end up to the same window asking for verification.

I see a message to verify my account and gives three options. ht-tp://i.imgur.com/MsjPcwb.png

1 Sign out (if I click this it signs me out)

2 see options on how to renew access to the portal (if i click this it goes back to the first page of azure)

3 contact customer service (it gives me phone numbers)

    Please help me.

    thanks

Answers

  • I'd imagine that they would start your free trial over when you contact them on Monday.

  • Hello and thank you for replying.

Nobody answers the phone in my country as it is weekend.

I signed up for a free trial account on windows azure.

I setup three virtual machines and after 3 days I don't have access anywhere.

The only thing I see is some charges on a free account and I don't know whether I am charged or not.

If I just don't do anything. Will my card be charged?

This is what I see http://i.imgur.com/WPi65be.png

I read some peoples posts they got charged around $1300 on a trial account. If anyone knows please let me know as I can't wait till monday.

    Thank you

  • When I setup account I had a choice to leave default spending limit in place or override it. So if you left default then the resources you built should just be stopped when you hit limit. I doubt if hitting limit would cut off access to account so something else might be going on.

This is "where is" forum so I've no idea really about your account or possible charges. This one might help.

or you might try asking them over here.

  • thanks for the reply.

    I left everything at default.

The expected end of limit was 5 days later. (approx next tuesday or wednesday) and the available balance by the last time I checked was around 70 euro ($95). I checked it 4 hours before I found it like this
