Constantly being told Office 2007 isn't genuine. RRS feed

  • Question

  • Bought my copy of Office 2007 from PC World in March last year before coming out to the Middle East. I've installed it on my desktop and laptop at home and my laptop out here in Saudi Arabia and thats where the problems began. I'm constantly being told that this isn't a genuine copy of Office 2007 and so it won't validate and yet having contacted Microsoft who have confirmed that it is a geuine copy it still coming up as not genuine and it's becoming very annoying. How do I get around this problem???

  • Graham,

Is the laptop in Saudi Arabia your personal laptop or is it a military computer? If it is a military computer you should be able to work with the small computer section where they can assist you. If this is your personal computer then contact the Microsoft Activation Center. If you are military maybe you can seek permission to use DSN lines to make the call.  Hopefully this has provided you with some assistance.

  • Hello Graham,

Only the retail license for Office 2007 Home and Student allow three installations.

Other retail licenses for other Office suites only allow two installations.

Maybe you've done one installation too many?
