I am using in Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 the option of scheduling appointments following the Hebrew Lunar Calendar, but I cannot synchronize them well with my PDA.
In the old Microsoft Pocket PC version 3.0 synchronizing these appointments resulted in an error. To work around this problem I selected a category "Lunar" to these appointments and in the synchronization I could exclude these appointments, by deselecting the category "Lunar" in ActiveSync.
In the newer Windows Mobile 5x & 6.x versions synchronizing these appoinments do not result in an error anymore, but the appointments are changed from the Hebrew Lunar Calendar to the Gregorian Calender, with the result that all appointsments are scheduled on wrong dates. Because the option to synchronize only the selected categories is removed from Windows 5.0 and onwards, I have not anymore the possibility to exclude these appointments from the synchronization.
I would like to put Hebrew Lunar Calendar support on the wish list of new functionality of Windows Mobile 7. First at all that the synchronization of in Outlook scheduled appointments according the Hebrew Lunar Calendar are synchronized well with my PDA. Second that I can schedule new appointments and change existing appointments according the Hebrew Lunar Calendar on my PDA.
As long as their is no support of the Hebrew Lunar Calendar in Windows Mobile, I would like to insert back again the option synchronize only the selected categories, which was removed since Windows Mobile 5, so that I can exclude these appointments from synchronizing. |
