Non Genuine copy of Microsoft Genuine Advantage downloaded now cannot uninstall RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi there,

My mum & I are not very savvy and mum often manages to dowload things in error thinking they are a critical/genuine update. She recently downloaded a "Genuine update of Microsoft 7" but now our PC is running extremely slow & every time mum opens up her Outlook she's getting a pop up to say the Software is not genuine & will now expire in 12 days. Is there anything you can recommend? I've pasted the Diagnostic report below for your reference.

    Thanking you in advance,

    Lauren

I suspect that you may be getting confused between Win 7 and Office 2003 -
Your report shows a Blocked VLK for Office 2003, but as far as I can see, the Windows XP install is legal, and validated.
This may be relevant as well

You need to go to the Office forums to deal with your Office problem - but you'll have to buy a new legal key for it anyway. What happens when you click on the Notification? do you get sent to Office Validation or Windows Validation - or where?
