crm 2011: Why clients still get subscribe email after they click 'unsubscribe' link? RRS feed

  • Hello,

    I have a really basic quick campaign, which sends newsletter to clients.When click 'unsubscribe' link, they shouldn't receive such email any more. Everything seems work fine except client still receive email after they unsubscribe.

    What I did as follow:

    1, under user, set email configuration: incoming(outlook), outgoing (email router).

    question: In order to make it work, do I need set both incoming and outgoing to email router?

    2, under system setting, marketing tab, set 'Do not send marketing material' option to YES, set 'Send acknowledgement to customer' to YES, select template for acknowledgement email.

    I also enable 'Use tracking token' under Email tab.

    Unfortunately, it doesn't work.

    Any help appreciate.

  • Also, under system setting -> outlook, set them all to YES.

    Now I found if I go to outlook, select particular email record, then click 'Track', I can see 'Send Marketing material' change to 'Do not send' in contact record and unsubscribe acknowledgement Email send out, it works all fine.

    But I don't want to enable tracking on outlook client side, I want to track on CRM side. I tried all I know, it still come out with no lucky. Is that because we still use 'Microsoft Dynamics CRM for outlook' in User for our incoming email access type? (we user email router for outgoing email)

    What else we need to do to enable tracking 'unsubscribe' email on CRM server side?
