Introductory Offer RRS feed

  • Question

  • I received an email about an Introductory Offer ($19.95) for Windows Live OneCare for Beta version users. I've been using the Beta version for about 80 days and want to buy the full version. The email instructs you to remove the Beta version and follow the link in the email. I've done that but I can't get past the page where you enter credit card information. It may be because I didn't make a note of the Windows Live ID that I used when I downloaded the Beta version so I setup a new ID. Or it could be something else. Contacting MS via email has led nowhere except automated responses telling me to use the Help Center. Ideas?

The LiveID for the offer is simply to register and proceed with your purchase. It does not need to be the same LiveID that you used for the beta.

If you cannot proceed past the sign-in and get to where you can pay, please contact support.

  • Some further thoughts - you are in the US, correct? And if you go to http://account.live.com to see your profile for that LiveID, is US identified as your country? Is IE your default web browser? What happens when you click the link in the email? Where does it send you?
