The following MS procedure doesn't work:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;257249
following the procedure listed above:
1) "C:\tmp\ie6setup.exe" /c:"ie6wzd.exe /d /s:""#E"
2) accept the agreement
3) Initializing Setup, wait...
4) receive the following error message:
"Setup was unable to download the required components. Please make sure you are connected to the Internet, or try to run Setup again later."
I have tried this several times over the last several days and I keep getting the same error dialog. Looks lile MS has turffed the IE6SP1 downloadable files...
How do you download IE6SP1 to install on a machine (win2k) that isn't connected to the internet? Trying to install newer software on a win2k box seems to require IE6 more and more... anyway, can you please fix the above procedure, whatever the problem is, or send me a CD?
Best regards,
Joe
