crm 2011 Outlook client authentication error after installing windows 8 RP RRS feed

  • To all - Very weird error...  I upgraded to the Windows 8 release preview and now I can't log into CRM for Outlook.  I receive an error that I am unable to authenticate to the server.  This was working in the Customer preview but not in the Release Preview.  I am able to log into my CRM via IE with no issues and have ran through the normal troubleshooting errors, updates, same version, computer time is in sync, uninstall windows online sign-in client, etc.

    This has to be something that is caused by Windows 8.  Anybody else having the same issues?

  • To all - Problem Solved.  You must add Windows Identity Framework in Windows Features.  Once that is added and you reboot everything will work fine.
