  Thanks for the link to the forum 'Developing Universal Windows apps', but to repeat it correctly, it should be https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/home?forum=wpdevelop  (you had pointed to one particular post).

  I was aware of the Wireless XP and Vista forums, they are listed here:

  https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/aa362932(v=vs.85).aspx

  But this is Windows 10, not XP, not Vista.

  The Bluetooth C++ API was apparently updated since Windows 8:
