laptop for CRM 4.0 RRS feed

  • Question

  • All,

My company buys computers from HP. My current HP Compaq 2510p has done its job, and I will be replacing it soon.

Therefore, what HP laptop would you recommend to ensure good performance for the CRM 4.0 Outlook client with offline support?

I travel quite frequently, so I would prefer a lightweight version.

    Thanks,

    Stein Erik

  • I am not recommending a brand but the laptop should have Windows 7, Office 2010, 2 gb and a fast processor. Then I think you will have an enjoyalbe CRM laptop experience.

  • Hi Stein,

You'll want the laptop to at least meet the minimum hardware requirements for the Outlook Client.  If possible, exceed them and you should be fine.  A lot depends on what you are trying to run on the laptop.  Also, the OS & Office version.  I've found that 2 g's of memory is better if possible.

  • Be careful of using 64 bit office as there is no 64 bit crm client for outlook.
