CRM 2013 Online, can't send email from one user account RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

We have CRM 2013 online system where we have some workflows set up to send email. Recently one more user was created and given the same Email router profile and settings as other users as well as is Sys Admin role.

Although other users can send email from within CRM, it is not possible for this user. When I send a normal email using outlook office 365 it works fine but if I create an email record from CRM and hit Send button that does't work. The email record remains in "Sending" or "Pending Send" status.

Any ideas ? I have logged on as another admin users and have Approved the new user Email and Mailbox in CRM and have made sure the Incoming and Outgoing email settings are same as other users which is working fine but still no avail.

  • You need to approve the e-mail by clicking the approve button in the ribbon on the user record.  Even if they are sys admins, they still need to be approved to send e-mail by a CRM admin.

This prevents the users from changing their mailing options.  An additional security feature starting with CRM 2011.
