CRM Licencing Restrictions RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi Guys ,

First of all thanks for taking the effort to provide an answer for this question, it is much appreciated.

As per what I have read so far CRM 2013 Online has 3 licence types as

    • Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online - Basic License
    • Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online - Essential License
    • Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013 - Professional License

What I want to know is if I have a user associated with a Basic Licence which will only allow Read and write contacts, leads, accounts, and cases. Will the system prevent / stop this user from creating any Marketing campaigns or Marketing Lists.

What I want to know is does the license type restrict the user from accessing entities that are not allowed as a part of the licence type or does it work on a trust basis.

  • The license type restrict the user, for example the basic license can't create workflows, a user with the basic license will not able to create workflows.
