  • This is possible with WHS.  I have a spreadsheet with macros and such that I have open on all three of my pc's. :)

  • They can, but they won't keep track of the changes made by other pc's.  I believe anyway.  Unless when you open it up on one pc, it locks it from the others from editing it.  Sometime it will open up in read-only mode then.

  • i don't need to save the changes of each user i just need all my clients to be able to open and use the documents even if someone else has it open.  i tried it with an excel doc and i got the "read-only" locked message.  i just want one one copy of the doc on my server that everyone can open and use.

  • do u think i need to change the properties of the documents since it would not let me open it to make changes on the 2nd pc just read-only?

  • I'm confused..  You said you did not need to make changes, just view.  So read only would work.
