Go to next or previous message in email RRS feed

  • Question

  • When reading email, it would be nice to be able to go to the next message without having to return to the list view, selecting the next email, and then opening it.  From the menu or using a shortcut key there should be the ability to open the next or previous message or the next or previous unread message.

  • Actually, using the dpad left and right in windows mobile standard or windows mobile pro will go to next (right) or previous (left).

In windows mobile 6, there are also a series of shortcuts available for dealing with email.   On windows mobile standard, for a 12 key and some qwertys, press and hold the 0 while in email for a list of shortcuts.   On windows mobile pro, press and hold the h for a list of shortcuts.

  • To add to what Todd said, there is also an option in Messaging that lets you modify the behavior of the software after you deleted or moved a message.

On the Smartphone, open Messaging, click Menu - Tools - Options - Display. In the "After deleting or Moving a message:", you can choose whether to Return to message list, show next message or show previous message.

On a Pocket PC Phone, open Messaging and tap Menu - Tools - Options - Message tab
