Windows 7, Build 7600, This copy of Windows is not genuine" RRS feed

  • Question

  • I bought a new ASUS laptop which came with Windows 7 64 bit home premium preloaded about 2 months ago.  It works fine but every now and then the desktop says  "Windows 7, Build 7600, This copy of Windows is not genuine".  IT will then disappear for no reason.  The software is activated and apart from the text on the desktop everything works fine including all updates etc.

What could be the cause and how can I get rid of it permanently - its annoying.
