hi, I would like to know if it is possible to install microsoft outlook offline mode connection for dynamics crm 2011 when the exchange server is hosted remotely? e.g ms dynamics crm 2011 installed on a server in a country and ms exchange server installed on another server remote in another country. thank you.

If your outlook is able to process your emails now with the same settings then It should not matter at all if you install CRM outlook client.
There is no relationship as such between CRM and exchange server. If you are using outlook to send and receive emails then CRM does not care abiut the exchange server.
Also look at the following blog. It will give you few tips when working with the offline client.
I hope this helps.

You can use Outlook for this, but you might be better off installing the (free) email router component on a machine which is always on. Either way, if the CRM system, Exchange server and 'man in the middle' are in three geographically distant locations, your performance for sending mass emails will be very poor. You may want to consider using a third party emailer to actually do your email blasts (there are loads of options for third parties which integrate closely with CRM)
Hope this helps.
