MoBo crashed, replaced, now bluescreen during boot RRS feed

  • Question

  • I see the WHS logo for about 5 secs, then Bluescreen  Stop: 07B. Tried running setup from the CD again, but it only offers new install. I have a current backup of all the shared files, but I need to preserve the system backups.

Not the same MoBo as was in it originally--much newer. I need to change the drivers, but no idea how, since safe mode crashes, too.

Any ideas on how to proceed?

  • No matter what I change the SATA options to in the mb bios, it still stops 3 sec after WHS splash screen loading acpitabl.dat.

So maybe a new install of WHS is necessary.

I saved a copy of D:\folders\{00008086-058D-4C89-AB57-A7F909A47AB4} on an external drive.

If I reinstall a new copy of WHS, can I delete the newly created files in D:\folders\{00008086-058D-4C89-AB57-A7F909A47AB4} and copy the old ones there to preserve my backup database?
