Windows XP Validation problems

    Question

  • I keep getting a "You may be a victim of software counterfeiting" message.  When I click on the "Validation Failure Details" link in Internet Explorer, after the validation process a window pops up asking me if I want to view only the content that was delivered securely.  Clicking on either yes or no takes me to a page that states "Your Browser is out of date".  I am running IE8 with the latest update.

How can I solve this problem.  I am running Widows XP Professional w/service pack 3.

Running the Microsoft Genuine Advantage Diagnostics tool produces the following results:

  • Your MGA report indicated you have a Volume license version of Windows XP installed.  This version is only sold to business enterprises and not to individuals.  You will need to purchase a new copy of either Windows 7 or Windows 10 and perform a "clean install".  You can purchase genuine Windows from here.
